Glamping cabin in the Cotswolds

Gloucestershire Glamping
One cabin. One field. Acres of view.
The Fuselage at Lypiatt Hill

A magical space within a magical landscape. All far from the madding crowd.

Breathe in your surroundings and then, take your pick. Stride out to explore the hills and vales. Aim your binoculars at the teeming wildlife. Shower with a hillside view. Lay back and observe your thoughts drifting by, much like the clouds overhead.  Light the wood burner, sink into some cushions and spend time with a book. Watch the sun set sitting around the campfire. Eat, drink and be merry. Howl at the moon. Climb into bed and curl into sleep. Wake to the sound of birdsong and a view out over the valleys, across to the Severn Estuary and the Welsh mountains beyond. Or just. Do. Nothing.

And repeat. Heaven.

Tree Tents Fuselage interior with view

Kind Words

'The Fuselage is an extraordinary space - a glass bubble of silence, escape and beauty - perfectly located and generously equipped - I'd be there every weekend if I could, and I can't wait to return.'

'Exceptional. The pre-trip info from Kate and Piers was friendly, informative and well timed and the welcome and location itself is absolutely lovely. I stayed two nights with my 9 and 7 year old sons who loved the woods, loved the trampoline, loved the outdoor cooking and LOVED the fuselage itself. We were welcomed with local cider (cold!), local butter, milk, juices and excellent equipment from firewood to gas stoves to knife and cutlery kits to frying pans. Very impressive and very welcome. We've stayed in a few similar places and the Fuselage was absolutely wonderful and the Dents are perfect hosts.'

'What a very special place. We had such a lovely couple of days escape surrounded by stunning views and spectacular sunsets. The attention to detail and friendly welcome made the whole experience very special.'

'We had the loveliest stay at the Fuselage on a wet autumn evening. Kate gave us an incredibly warm welcome – with flowers, brownies, fresh farm milk for our tea and lovely organic fruit – and we were immediately toasty and at home in the gorgeous pod. The structure and layout of the space is cozy and calming, and the high quality of all the pillows and bedding helped us snuggle in. We felt like we were on the edge of the world in our own little cocoon! Watching the rain fall over the stunning valley views was such a treat as we made some delicious coffee in the morning. The weather was no issue at all, as we were able to use the lovely kitchen area and eco loos with plenty of coverage. It made the experience romantic – having hot drinks in the autumn mist is not something we get to do very often! We cannot wait to return in summer to experience the same space in the warmer weather and to enjoy Kate's lovely hospitality once more.'

'Wonderful stay at the Fuselage. Kate was utterly charming and greeted us in person to show us this very cleverly designed space. It is a brilliantly conceived area with every possible comfort. We were there in the rain and in the glorious sun and it was perfect in both. Our hosts were also incredibly generous, providing fresh milk, butter, honey, chocolate brownies - in short, we were spoilt. They have also provided lots of really helpful advice and recommendations in the area. The walk to the Woolpack Inn is a must. But the wildlife also will come to you without ever going anywhere - inquisitive deer, the sound of the owls, dancing hares. But the view from the platform as the sun goes down, that is what we will remember most. Thank you for sharing this space with us, for you thoughtfulness and your generosity.'

COVID-19

We are delighted to have reopened on 12 April.

Our absolute priority is the health and wellbeing of our guests so, once open, we will offer self check-in and check-out following a brief socially-distanced welcome on arrival. Since the site is completely isolated and for one group only, guests do not need to come into contact with anyone else for the remainder of their stay.

We will be following government and UK tourism industry guidelines on cleaning of all areas and surfaces in between guests. Guests can expect hand sanitisers on site. We have removed the following until further notice: books, games, toys, and children’s crayons, as these are hard to clean thoroughly – we suggest that guests bring their own.  Guest information will remain – in a folder which can be cleaned. We will also send this as a PDF to guests before their stay.

Any further updates will be posted here and on our social media pages. Please do get in touch with any questions.

We thank you for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you soon!
